Source hierarchy
- Authoritative public records and standards: government agencies, statutes, regulations and manufacturer certification labels or manuals for definitions, legal requirements, recalls and ratings.
- Direct seller evidence: the public page for the exact advertised offer, used only for facts the page actually states.
- Manufacturer documents: current specification sheets, manuals, warranty documents and technical bulletins.
- Buyer-entered assumptions: clearly labeled estimates used by calculators and practical-cost tools.
Search demand, autocomplete and keyword-planning data can identify what buyers ask. They do not prove availability, price, location, configuration or quality.
Current-offer evidence
- Offer evidence must link to a direct public source and carry a recent verification time.
- Unavailable, sold, expired or stale offers cannot control the cheapest qualifying result.
- Public price, mandatory fees, location, fulfillment type and specifications remain separate fields. Missing information stays unknown.
- Trailer Hunt does not store a permanent replicated inventory catalog or create public listing posts from seller catalogs.
- A public page is evidence of what was advertised when checked, not a guarantee that the trailer remains available.
Calculator and guide standards
Every calculator shows its inputs and arithmetic. Outputs are planning estimates. Vehicle, trailer, hitch, tire and component labels; actual scale weights; authoritative rules; and qualified inspection control. Trailer Hunt does not certify towing safety, legal payload, condition or fitness.
Commercial independence
Advertising, affiliate relationships and financing cannot change hard-fit eligibility, public-price rank, practical-cost arithmetic or the order of organic results. Compensated links are labeled near the link. Read the compensation disclosure and ranking methodology.
Corrections
Send factual corrections to corrections@trailerhunt.com. Include the Trailer Hunt URL, the exact statement or offer, the proposed correction and a direct supporting source. Do not email financial applications, government identification numbers or other sensitive personal information.
Corrections are checked against the strongest available source. A seller request does not automatically change an independent comparison, and a correction does not purchase placement or rank.
